Prepare Your Body: Avoid exercise, caffeine, and smoking for at least 30 minutes before testing. Empty your bladder—a full bladder can temporarily increase your blood pressure.
The Right Posture: Sit in a chair with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Do not cross your legs. Your arm should be supported on a flat surface (like a table) with the upper arm at heart level.
